Tung Chung East Station and Associated Enabling Works for Track Diversions

The Contractor engages A-Champ as their System Assurance, Human Factors and Electromagnetic Compatibility Consultant to deliver the project.
Tung Chung East Station is envisaged as an approximately 1.3km underground extension of Tung Chung Line from its existing end-of-line station, Tung Chung Station, to a new station in Tung Chung West.
The works of Tung Chung East Station involve the diversion of the existing 1.2km of operating track between the existing Sunny Bay Station and Tung Chung Station, including the construction of new railway sections, track bifurcation for connecting the new railway section to the existing tracks, installation of overhead lines as well as modification of part of the equipment of the existing signaling system.

Tung Chung West Station and Tunnels

The Contractor engages A-Champ as their Electromagnetic Compatibility Consultant to deliver the project.
The Tung Chung West Station, located to the west of the existing Yat Tung Estate, will serve existing residents and potential housing developments nearby, including in the Tung Chung New Town Extension (West) planning areas.
The operational railway environment requires careful consideration with regard to the design of Building Services (BS) Engineering Works and selection of the equipment. To ensure that electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) be successfully achieved between the equipment and sub-systems within the Contract 1201 Works boundary and between nearby installations by others, it is essential for a systematic EMC management process to be in place throughout the project implementation.

The Overhead Line System Modification for HSK

The Designer engages A-Champ as their System Assurance and Human Factors Consultant to deliver the project.
Consultancy Agreement NEX1086 has been established to study the technical feasibility of modifying existing Tuen Ma Line (TML) Overhead Line (OHL) system to suit the construction and operation of the Hung Shui Kiu Station (HSK). Results of the study ascertains the feasibility of relocating the existing OHL insulated overlap outside the HSK station area.
Human Factors Issues Register has been developed from Task Analysis of the user and maintainer roles affected by the scope of the works, and review of the baseline design documentation.
As part of the Human Factors Issues identification process, issues have been categorized according to the assessed degree of impact on operational safety and service, and monitored throughout the project lifecycle.

Trackwork and Overhead Line for TME and HSK

The Contractor engages A-Champ as their System Assurance, Risk Management (including Design for Safety Constructability risk management) and Human Factors Consultant to deliver the project.
The Tuen Mun South Extension (TME) project is the extension of the Tuen Ma Line (TML) southward from its existing terminus at Tuen Mun Station with two above ground new stations namely A16 Station (A16) and Tuen Mun South Station (TMS). Hung Shui Kiu (HSK) Station is a new station located between the existing Tin Shui Wai Station (TIS) and Siu Hong Station (SIH) on the existing TML.
The Trackwork System includes new trackwork from existing Tuen Ma Line overrun tracks at existing Tuen Mun Station to the new terminus station of Tuen Mun South and two new at grade stabling sidings at Pat Heung Depot (Eastern).
The OHL System includes the provision new sections of TML and PHD(E), OHL modification works at PHD(E) Stabling Siding E9, and OHL installation work at HSK.

Overhead Line for West Test Track, West Lower Depot Entry Track and Temporary Underfloor Wheel Lathe Track in SHD


The Contractor engages A-Champ as their System Assurance, Risk Management and Human Factors Consultant to deliver the project.
This Contract includes the modification or addition on existing OHL system in west test track, west lower depot entry track and temporary underfloor wheel lathe track in SHD.
The work site is within an existing brownfield surrounded by railway facilities and live utilities. Most of the works are within and adjacent to depot tracks require Track Possession, and the Contractor shall allow for this stop/start nature of working.

Trackwork and Overhead Line for OYB and
SHD Phase 1


The Contractor engages A-Champ as their System Assurance, Risk Management (including Design for Safety Constructability risk management) and Human Factors Consultant to deliver the project.
A new above-ground station with side platforms alongside the live running track of Tung Chung Line (TCL) is required. The station, namely Oyster Bay Station (OYB) is to serve the future Siu Ho Wan topside development and the wider population within the nearby reclamation area development.
Track modification works to the AEL and TCL is required to accommodate the new station.
The existing SHD operations must be maintained to provide continuous uninterrupted maintenance to the running lines, stabling and operational services.

Pedestrian Link connecting from Pak Tai Street toSung Wong Toi Station


The Contractor engages A-Champ as their System Assurance, Risk Management and Human Factors Consultant to deliver the project.
This Contract is to design and build the P-Link connecting from Pak Tai Street to SUW, Entrance C at Pak Tai Street, the Approach Lobby at Concourse Level of SUW, and to modify the existing SUW station wall and associated modification works inside Concourse Level of SUW .

The major Permanent Building Services and Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) works under the Contract 11286 covers electrical installation, communication installation, lift and escalator installation, environmental control system, plumbing and drainage installation, fire service installation and main control system.
